New Features in AdShield 3.0.9.0

  • Improved user help files. Network install guide, Network Admin guide, trial period is now 15 days. Default installation folder is now c:\program files\allstar\adshield.

New Features in AdShield 3.0.8.0

  • Added network support including: Central install and administration, shared block list, optional user interface for users and single click user setup.

New Features in AdShield 3.0.7.0

  • Improved functionality of trial version so there is no limit to the block or exclude list.

New Features in AdShield 3.0.6.0

  • Script errors generated when using Outlook Web Access or when browsing some web sites which use server redirection.

  • Crashes when browsing pages containing <COLGROUP> tags whose span exceeds the number of columns in the table.

  • Erroneous collapsing of images from certain web sites when the web bug detection options are enabled.

  • Duplicate web bug images displayed for the same URL within a single page or frame.

New Features in AdShield 3.0.5.0

  • Exclude list prevents AdShield from blocking web sites or URLs such as your bank’s website. (e.g., www.my_important_site.com).

  • Identifies web bugs in your browser window. Exposes hidden bugs, which you can then drag to your block list to protect your privacy. Hover text on the web bug indicates the source web site, so you can easily identify it.

  • Add Button lets you manually add URLs to either the block list or the exclude list. This feature defaults to the current page you are viewing to help speed the process.

  • Export function lets you easily export your existing block list to share it with other users or to make a backup copy.

  • Cut, Copy and Paste functions help you maintain your AdShield lists.

  • Option to disable the SetTimeOut and SetInterval scripting features, which are responsible for delayed pop-up ads and annoying animated ads.

  • Improved unblocking feature lets you easily identify strings that have been blocked.

  • Improved support for multi-user PC environments such as XP. AdShield now supports user specific block/exclude lists based on user profiles.
